my daughter is 31/2 yrs and is wandering at about 4 am every night. She gets into things and is very quiet, so I tried the kid proof door handle, putting a band on the handle so she can't turn it. A gate, and a baby monitor for me so I can hear her. At 4 am I am so soundly asleep I just don't wake up. She used to get in bed with me for the last couple of months and now is wandering??? She freaks when her door is closed, but I don't know what to do except lock her door. Anyone have ideas?

I have told her that I have to shut the door if she comes out of her room, but now that she has done it a couple of times, she is doing it more. Do I really have to lock her in?? looking for a gentler answer.

We have that rule too. She goes to bed about 830. goes to sleep waking about 4. Yes she will go back to sleep. But the coming out of room is what worries me. I have tried alot of things. Like a gate a childproof door knob and telling her I can only leave door open if she stays in her room. I will try the chart with sticker and rewards. Thanks

We have a rule at our house with our 4 year old. If the sun is not awake, you have to stay in bed, awake or not. Make a goal chart. If she stays in her room until the sun is up, she gets a sticker. So many sitckers, or one week of stickers, equals a reward. Make sure to keep some stuff in her room to entertain her.

What time is she going to bed? Does she go back to sleep after wandering?
