I am new here.... My name is Jen and I am a 38 (almost 39) year old mom to a little boy named Christopher. He just turned a year and I also have an 11 year old. I feel like I'm starting over and none of my friends have little ones. Some even have grandkids! lol!!

I am looking for moms to connect with and get advice from. I feel like I am brand new at this and my BF just turned 40 and never wanted kids, so this is new to both of us.

Hi Jen,
I remarried 4 years ago and between my husband and I we have, get ready, a 27,21,19,18,15 and a 2 year old. We have a yours, mine and ours deal. People thought we were nuts when we had our daughter, but we don't regret it. It is tough trying remember what my other kids were doing at 2. Hopefully you will find someone who has little ones you can hang with. At my church everyone in my Sunday school class has little ones and some of us are between 35 and 40. My husband will be 50 this year so I definetly understand what you feel. Hang in there and remember we are here for you when you need to talk or vent. Take care.

Hi jennifer I am 32 with 3 girls, a nearly 13 year old, a 4 year old and a 18 month old. It felt like starting over again for me too and I could not believe how shattered I get compared to all the energy I had when I had my first. I have found that my oldest has always been a super helper with her sisters.
@ Louise, that would drive me mad too.

Hello Jennifer, you are not alone as a mum having an age gap between their kids. I am 41 and I have a 21 year old and an 18 year old and a 3 year old. Yes it is like starting over again and raising an only child. People think that my eldest son is her daddy and I am grandma at times. Really annoying!

This site is great for any mums out there wanting a bit of advice. Or just to chat. Look forward to reading your posts.
