First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this post. I have a 2 year old little boy. He started sleeping through the night very early. About a year ago that all changed when we spent 6 months in the hospital. He was constantly woken up by doctors and nurses during the night. Now, a year later, he still wakes up multiple times for a bottle. My husband and I are close to wits end. We have tried the crying out method, he panics. We have tried swapping the bottle for a sippy cup, not having it. Also, he is not the type of child who has latched on to any certain toy or blanket and we have managed to wean him down to the bottle only at bedtime. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for helping wean off the bottle completely and helping a child sleep through the night? Is this normal or is this something I should be concerned about?

He sleeps in his own crib, but due to our living situation we are all in one room. And yes, he does drink from a sippy cup during the day. We will try lying with him at night. Thank you!

Will he drink from a sippy cup during the day? I don't think its abnormal. My son slept with his sippy cup until he was nearly 2.5. I didn't take it away until it was time to potty train. We then didn't let him have anything to drink after dinner. I suppose we got lucky because he didn't really pitch a fit about it. We just simply told him "Your a big boy now, you don't need your cup in the bed". Since your little one is not having it, I would suggest lying with him, so maybe he doesn't panic so much. He may still cry, but maybe having you or daddy there will help.

Does he sleep in his own room or with you?
