Thats what my 3yr old shouts everytime we are in a public place and I don't allow him his way. It doesn't effect me so much becos am used to hearing it everytime I say " no " to something...but in public at times when he screams and yells that..it causes a lot of pain. Especially to his dad when he says the same thing to him." I dont like " follows anything that he has been asked to do ..like doing his business in the toilet rather than outside is "I dont like toilet" . I know this habit will fade away eventually. .but currently in a public situation how do I tackle it nicely??

Well first things first, always stay calm and collected. Don't let this behavior ruffle your feathers. I always counter statements like this with something like "Well, I will always like you, and I will always love you, no matter what you say." And a big hug, whether they want it or not. And then I drop it. I don't like to give them the response they're looking for. I don't let them think they're hurting me by saying things like that.

I can't tell you how to necessarly respond to it, however, you are not alone. My toddler chooses to snuggle with daddy or grandma, every second he can, and never me. He doesn't like to kiss me goodnight, or anything it seems. I'm hoping it's just a phase, but it's really hurtful. Sometimes it keeps me up at night because I can't help but think about what I could do differently.
