I have started and continued a horrible habit . . . sleeping in the same bed!

So now it's hit me, I am tired of my almost 4 yr old sleeping in the same bed as me.... initially I allowed it because she was diagnosed with juv diabetes (when she was 14 months) but for close to 4 years, she has slept in the same bed with me, constantly petting/pulling my hair for comfort, using a paci, and what I think is most odd. . . . my husband sleeps on the couch in front of the tv most every night! He says our king sized bed is too packed with me, her and the dogs. We live in an unfinished house so it's like an open studio apartment right now! I have kind of lost my grip on normalcy and need some advice. My gut is to make him put her to bed for like a week straight.!?!?!

Hi there :)

I've tried this with my son. What i did was, i at first had his bed in our room. I would get him to sleep in our bed and then move him. after a while he woud fall asleep in his bed, and i the middle of the night come to ours. it wasn't to long until he was able to sleep a whole night in his own bed, and when he had done that for about a week straight, i moved his bed into his own room.

You could try this, it takes some time, but it doesn't seem like anything happens in a day .. ;)
