I agree with Sarah as well. I have a 12 yr old Daughter who is fine and I have a 23 mos old daughter who has a developmental delay. She doesen't Walk, say words, point, talk etc. She had an MRI done last week and it came back with White Matter near her ventricles. The way her Dr explained it to me at first Freaked me out. But the more I read up on it and discussed it with him the better I understood what she was going through. He has scheduled another MRI for March of next year to see if it changes. But my daughter had an ear infection for a month and half before getting tubes in her ears. Now she's trying to talk and walk. So I wouldn't think the worst. Just enjoy it.
