my toddler is OBSESSED with thomas the train and thomas things are expensive so when ever i see thomas things on special i buy a few things like one for now and one or 2 for the next holiday. when i go to second hand stores when i find thomas things i get it again noy always for now, and when ever i go to walmart i get him a movie (we have no tv channels and he gets bored with the same movies) i also get him disney movies when they come out. my mother told me the other day that my kid is spoiled do you find this true?

the only time he throws a fit is when my brother takes things away from him. he gives me a hug when i give him things. my mom couldnt afford to give me little things likt that randomly and my husband can afford giving it to him so i do when i see it on special only

I've personally found that *spoiled* has nothing to do with how much stuff a kid has or gets. It's the frame of mind surrounding receiving those gifts.
If your son asks for something, doesn't get it and throws a huge fit...he's probably spoiled (although at this age, it can also just be a toddler thing. You should be able to judge).
If he asks for something, doesn't get it and can accept that, not so much.
Work on your toddler saying *please* and *thank you* when getting anything. A little gratitude goes a long way. He's still very young, but as he gets older, work on making sure he is ACTUALLY thankful for what he gets and not just parroting the words.
