My son is 13 months old and hates the taste of milk , for 2 months i have been trying to get him to drink it and he will not at all, it got so bad that we had to put him on formula again because he would refuse to drink ANY thing else at all , i have 6 kids and have never had this happen before , i do not want to keep him on formula because iam scared he will gain to much weight and its very expensive , last night my husband found this formula for kids ages 9months thru 24 months , has anyone else had this issue and what did you do ???

You could mix formula with milk and slowly make it more milk and less formula.

Also your son can get the same nutrients as milk in other foods like cheese and yogurt.

My daughter was breastfed and didn't love milk at first but my ped. said as long as she was eating a good variety of foods including other dairy, she was fine. She did enjoy water and juice in her sippy though. We still gave her some in a regular cup at dinner and now at 27 months she asks for a second cup at every meal.

So don't push it too hard but keep offering and he will probably come around.

My 14 month old daughter hates milk. I called her pediatrician and she told me that since she eats eggs (scrambled or hard boiled) and yogurt that it is completely fine that she doesnt drink milk. You are really just trying to get them the fat for their brain cells and the protein. Everything they need is in the eggs and yogurt.

My daughter did not like Milk either. She loved breastmilk and would drink formula at that age. She got over it, you can mix milk with the formula gradually over time and he may get used to the taste.

My DD hated milk, she's almost 3 and still hates milk. The good news: you don't need milk in your diet to get the calcium and Vitamin D!!! My daughter hates milk, but loves many other dairy products; especially vanilla yogurt! She also loves string cheese and cottage cheese. There are also many other foods out there that can provide an immense amount of calcium, such as dark green leafy foods and then of course everything these days is calcium fortified. As for Vitamin D, they make drops you can give him.

I really really don't think you need to use the expensive toddler formula, there are many other ways to get what he needs from milk!
