My son is almost 22 months and since day one he has been sleeping in my king bed with me and my husband. I am now 4.5 months pregnant with baby 2 and I am wanting to move my son into his toddler bed (crib convertion) but I am having the hardest time even knowing where to begin. And I am extremely overwhelmed with the idea, but need to get him in his own bed before this baby comes. I don't have any help with moving him because my husband works nights and doesn't get home until well after my son is asleep. Not to mention when I put him to sleep he has to fall asleep in only my arms & want to feel me next to him most of the night. Most of the time if I get up before him, he wakes up shortly after because he doesn't feel me (even if he feels his dad he still gets up if I'm not there, usually) now I know I've kinda made my own "bed" but I really need some advice on how to move him to his own bed, oh and FYI he isn't just "excited" about his bed either. I can't do cry it out, I just don't have it in me! Can someone PLEASE help me, I'm overwhelmed and don't know what to do!!

I just posted something almost identical to this! I am in the same boat with my 20 month old. We swore we would never let our child sleep with us and here we are.....
He has his own room, nice crib, painted walls, a nice theme, toys, etc. But, all he does is play in there! I know exactly how you feel. I have cried, felt guilty, beat myself up, asked hundreds of people for advice and still....nothing has changed.
My son falls asleep with a sippy of milk between my hubby and I and then I move him to his cot beside the bed. He still wakes up at least 2 times a night for his milk. I keep telling myself..."Once he starts sleeping thru the night, then I will move him to his room." I am beginning to think that this is never going to happen!!! I thought babies slept thru the night before 2 years old!?!? I often ask myself what else have I done wrong??
I am open to suggestions, advice as well.
Good luck,
Tonya
