my 11months son hvng running nose n irritated

Hi to all the moms..
My son is almost 11months n he recently got terrible running nose, fever n difficulty in breathing.doctor gave me oltrivin for children n guide me to use bulp syringe pump..whenever I try to use wth my son he gets so fussy n cry like hell..wth tears..:( im stil used on him twice only n its quiet a relief but contstantly irritated from naaal spray or drops n bulb pump hes not excepting none..he cant sleep well n hes waking up coz he cant breath well..plz is there any advices wat I can do to help him n relief frm dis kind of cold coz he cant drink his milk coz of his blocked n running nose..im worried wil go bck to doc again..mean while I wil appreciate if anyone of u would like to guide or advice to help me to relief my little baby..greatful to all if u..n thnks..!

Get a cold mist humidifier. You can also prop him up in a pillow at night when he is asleep. You should buy some baby all natural chest rub and rub it on his chest, back, and bottom of feet(put socks on after). I also would buy the Johnson and Johnson vapor bath add it to a warm bath close the bathroom door while tub fills up let the steam stay in bathroom that should help him to clear him up a bit. I used to do a vapor bath followed by the chest rub and put the cold mist humidifier in and prop him up and it would help while he was conjested.

No prob I hope he feels better soon. It's hard when they are so little because they can't tell you how they feel. It's kinda a lot of steps but I do it when my son is stuffy....Oh and try saline spray for babies that always seemed to help a bit too. Good luck :)
