We make one meal for the whole family. Our son has to try 3 bites of each item. Children often have to keep trying things before they learn to accept them. He knows he can't tell us 'no' at the table and he tries his food. He will eat quite a bit now. We've had to fight him on it at times, but it's worth it! Their health is too important a battle to give up on. Our son is not allowed to choose not to eat. If he really seems uninterested, I let him have one meal a day that he can 'eat light' but the others he has to eat well. Busy toddlers need calories. :)
