Hi im a mother of a 20 month old. I am REALLY having a hard time feeding her. She just dont have the appetite. Since she was 5 months old I was trying to feed her baby foods but she never liked it. Been trying to feed her anything from baby food to table food, veggies but i always fail. There was a time from 7 months til 13 months she eats small pieces and a few spoons but never 2-3 times a day. The rest is all milk. And just this Feb 2013 When we feed her she wont eat. I was really worried tried cooking some foods she might like still no appetite. I tried again not giving her milk so she will get hungry, she cries the whole time and its really frustrating not giving her milk and knowing shes not eating anything, so she kept on crying and when i give her food she refuses it but instead ask for milk. We went to her pedia and told us as long as shes not loosing weight thats fine, and still trying to introduce her with food and give her pediasure. And again i tried, been reading alot of articles and stories about picky eaters and no appetite kids followed what they say on how o trick kids but shes so smart she recognize everything. The only food she eats is rice but not even 2 spoon fulls. She doesnt even like fries, cookies, but she likes chips. She eats fruits i dont have a problem with it. I dont know what to do. Shes not getting any nutrients. I dont knw if she doing ok or not. I know giving her more tha 2-3 bottle of milk a day is not good for her. Please i need help.

Second thing about weaning her from bottle to sippy cup/cup. She doesnt like milk in a cup/sippy. Juice is fine she can drink it in a cup/sippy. She cries and cries until she falls asleep asking/begging for a bottle of milk. It breaks my heart seeing and hearing her cry. I dont know how long would this take for her to switch. She doesnt drink milk n a sippy and plus she has no appetite. :( :( :(

Why dont you try giving her milk based foods initially? I have a 17 month old son, who is a super fussy eater. He was also fixated with his milk, and refused to shift to the regular daal-chawl-veggies (I am an Indian) .. What I started was, I shifted to the bottles with the 3rd grade nipples, which made it easier to give him milk-cornflakes (powder the cornflakes, mix it with milk and make a thick mass), oats-milk.. atleast that way he was having cereals. .. when he got used to the food in 7 /8 days time, I moved to a bowl and spoon ritual ! ...
