My 3 year old won't sleep through the night

Okay.... My son's father and I are no longer together so we have split custody. My son and I are currently living with my parents until we can find a place. I keep my son for one week (Sunday to Sunday) and he does the same. During my weeks that I have him I try to keep him on a reasonable schedule, but when he is with his father he is allowed to stay up all hours of the night. I have stressed to his father that he really needs to be on a schedule and begged him to keep up with the schedule I had started him on, but he just won't. Whenever it comes to bedtime my son will fall asleep fine, but he won't stay asleep. If I put him in his bed at 9 o'clock after he has his bath, brushes his teeth and a night time bed story, he will wake up around 11 and doesn't want to go back to sleep until sometimes 3 in the morning. He will scream and cry and constantly get up out of his bed and try to go into his Gammy's room (my mom). I don't know what I can do to keep him in his room at night and for him to get a good night's sleep. He usually wakes up around 7:30. I put him down for a nap around 12 - 2 and don't let him sleep longer for 2 hours when it is nap time. If anyone has any recomendations it would be a huge help. Something has got to give.

You need to get your partner to also keep him on the schedule that you are trying to put him on. Once you two get synced up maybe he will get used to routine and sleep through the night :)
