If it was me, I would drop her off until she was comfortable. You could also try a "reward chart" Everyday that she acts like a big girl when she goes to school, she can get a sticker on the chart. After accumulating a certain amount of stickers, you could reward her with a toy or something that she wants to do. Maybe go out to eat or for ice cream or something. After they have been acting this way for so long, it just becomes part of the routine. I hope this is helpful.

If it is possible, you could take the child to visit the school and to see the classroom and meet her teacher. And you could also say something like Mommy will be back to get you. Or something like you will learn alot in school and make new friends. You could also let them take a comforting object with them or their favorite snack. When you drop her off keep the goodbyes short and sweet. If that doesn't work, then maybe you could sit with her just for the first day of school to reassure her that everything will be ok on the 2nd day of school.
