i would suggest vitamin supplements then they have ones that taste good and are shaped like fun things. if you have any concerns then go see the pediatrician.

Give him what he will eat. He will add things he likes later on. There are other proteins and vitamins. He will live and you can stop stressing.

My daughter is 2yr 7mths old and she does the same thing. I give her what she will take and substitute everything else. She changes what she will take in food just a little bit every 5 weeks or so.

Guess it's part of the toddler growing pains.

Well, just keep giving it to him and encouraging him to try it. I always tell my daughter, who is 3 as well, that she has to try the food and when she does I praise her. Also be aware that children look at our behaviour towards the food, and that they might copy our attitude.
If he really eats no meat/chicken/egg products then ask your doctor do you need to give him some supplements.

My daughter was the same way until she saw daddy dipping his porkchops into ranch. And now, she'll eat any kind of meat I give her, Just a little dab of ranch or bbq sauce on her plate and she thinks shes a big girl because she can dip like daddy.

Try cooking the meat in a crockpot it has a tendency to be a lot softer and easier to chew. Most toddlers don't like meat because of the texture. When I make dinner I always offer a fruit or vegetable my kids like, usually a pasta, and meat if I'm introducing a new food I put it on their plate or even if I've cooked something I know they don't like and I encourage them to try it. I don't make seperate meals for my oldest but I know he doesn't like sauce so I pull out his portion before I add the sauce to the rest of ours. My daughter is not a big meat eater but loves toast and peanut butter.

And if you make things like homemade chicken nuggets to go with the dinner? They are seperate and the consistency of nuggets appeals to many children. If you marinade chunks of chicken breast in buttermilk for few hours prior to putting crumbs on them, the meat gets really soft. Also, did you try fish? My daughter is 3 and also not a big fan of meat, but she eats lots of eggs, chicken and fish (homemade fish fingers, baked fish). I make lot of hearty soups with veggetables and meat or fish - thats also a way to sneak some meat in the dinner.
