My daughter wants to go to school-NOT be homeschooled

I would love some opinions. My daughter is an only child, and says she wants to go to school next year. I really, really want to homeschool her because of what she will learn in school, plus she's my only one--and I love being with her!
But, she keeps telling me she wants to go to school. When I tell her that she will have to go to bed at 8pm, she then says she wants to stay home. Kindergarten is all day in the state where I live.
I'm trying to just do little stuff with her--like putting in, en, and ar words in piles. We are taking a local "Knee high naturalist" course for home schoolers, and we get out to the park about every day, and she's enrolled in dance class (just started last week), and in Sunday School.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or is that just kids for you?

Does she socialize with other children (apart from dance class)? It could be that she wants to make friends and be around children her own age. She may hear about the thing the other kids do at school, from the Sunday school kids, and want to know what it's like.
It sounds to me that she's curious about what happens at school because she hasn't experienced it.
