My doctor wants me to "fatten up" my son with milk shakes and french fries....

At my sons 18 month check up, my doctor informed me that he was in the 90 % range for height and 10% range for weight. Now, my family eats clean. We don't eat refined sugars, processed foods, or indulge in outings to McDonalds. Our son has had cake once, that was for his first birthday. In order to fix this "problem" my (ex) doctor told me to feed him French fries and milkshakes at least 3-4 times a week until he meets the 50% mark on the growth chart... I don't know about anyone else, but there is NO way I'm going to "fatten him up" off of crap. Our son drinks nothing but water.. He refuses milk or juices. He was breastfed until recently and he is 21 months old. I make him 'green drinks' to get his milk in they recommend daily and I am feeding him constantly. He eats very well and isn't very picky (he just doesn't like eggs) Ever since he was 10 months old and started walking he immediately began to run and hasn't stopped yet. I guess my point is and my question is.... how accurate are the growth charts in America? And does anyone else feed their children a clean diet and can give me some advise. Our son is 21 months old now he is 34" tall and weighs about 24lbs.. Please, tell me your thoughts!

All children grow differently I have never put much stock in growth charts. I am glad that is no longer your child's doctor though, sounds like a quack!
