How old was your son when you winged him.izzy started drinking water out of a sippie cup when she was 3months she never had a bottle .when I first tried to express when she was little she would take the bottle. So I really did not push it .now I am her she is17months old and she eat 3meals a day and snacks all day but when she gets sleepy or angry with her brother or sister she comes to me

So she takes a bottle.... my oldest son didn't like whole milk either, at first. Then I started mixing his bottles with 1 part whole milk and 3 parts breast milk. After a week, or when adjusted, I did 2 and 2, and so on till he was on reg milk all the time. He now loves milk! My youngest 2 children never would take a bottle, so I couldn't get them used to milk like that, and neither of them wanted it. Hope this helps get her weaned a little quicker!

Thanks jeri I have been taking away a feeding at a time .I am trying to return to the the workforce I been an at home mom since09 .now with izzy I have to go back to work to afford to pay bills and get her clothing and pay bills her dad is a tight wad lol. So I wish I could get the breast pump to work with me but I cant express more than two onuces off each breast so I am leaning to stopping .Izzy eats.cheese yogurt etc. Very healthy appetite.

Are you wanting to permanently wean her? If so, I have had success with just taking away a nursing at a time, once adjusted, add another. As far as the milk goes, even after weaned she may not drink the milk, my youngest son hates it. She doesn't need the milk as long she is getting her fats and calcium from other sources like cheese, yogurt, etc, so I was told by my ped when I was concerned that my DS wouldn't drink it.
