Hello my name is maria... i have a 26 mo old son who is not talking at all. well he says mama sometimes. when he was over a year he said more words but then just stopped. i have talked to his doc and he will be starting speech classes. his hearing is fine too. i just need some ideas on how to help him at home. i am a stay at home mom so i have all the time in the world. he is a only child. and i live in Florida and i don't have that much family here. and the cousins he does have here are NOT his age lol. so just any help would be nice on getting him to talk. if he is hungry he will say mmm. or go get his cup if he is thirsty and bring it to you. so any help would be great. oh i read to him a lot too :) thanks ladies XO

hello! I have a 3 year old daughter, her vocabulary is VERY minimal, maybe 20 words and not all are clear. She comprehends everything, she hears great but her speech is just not there lol She is in speech therapy and ECE program and we were told to work with her by doing animal sounds. I also sit down with her daily and we do silly faces hehe helps work with the muscles. You can do sing-a-long songs, and even if you feel it may become a problem, attempt sign language. I chose NOT to do signing, only because I felt it would confuse her but honestly, it is what ever works for you and your family!
