my son is a very picky eater. he likes dried foods and absolutely hates food on a spoon. I've been consistent then he has realized he can spit the food out. he barely eats solids during the day and he could even go a day without it because he's still on formula. I feel like i've tried everything.

try finger foods, toast cut to bite size pieces, bits of banana, strawberries, any bite size pieces of fruit etc. its to do with them wanting to be independent, this helps I tried it with my little girl.

You should start trying things that he can feed to himself like green beans, carrots, even things like spagghetti .Sure it wll get messy, just clean it up and try to wing him off the formula. But once he realize he can do it himself try to introduce the baby spoons and forks and he should take it. Sometimes kids just like to be independent.
