Hello everybody. So yesterday my son and I had a terrible experience yesterday at his appointment. We didn't see his primary dr due to him not being there so we saw the nurse practitioner. My son is two years old and a few inches away from being4ft tall. He weighs about 55 pounds. And to most that's a lot. But my son is a very picky eater. He loves all his fruits and will eat broccoli. He's picky on vegetables. And he does not like meat. He's a super active boy. Runs around all day long. Can climb things easily and he's soooo strong. What bothered me about this nurse was as soon as she walked in to the room she says omg this child is severely overweight! He's over 90% on the chart for height but obviously his weight is over also. She then tells me she was going to refer us to a dr for insulin shots ! I started crying cause I'm like wait what!! She basically told me my son had diabetes without doing any sort of blood test and she was looking at my son as if she was disgusted. I told her my sons diet and how active he is but she did not want to hear any of it. My sons dad is 6'3 and so is his grandpa and aunt. Anything out there have big kids and how do you deal with it. Especially with drs.

Don't stress it.... I went through the same thing and was told the reason why was due to my little girl drinking too much milk. She will be 4 in Dec and now weighs 51 lbs. She is probably 3 ft tall.
