Hello!. My son just turned 2 years old at end of September. My husband and i work full time jobs and hes been home with a nanny since he was 3 months who he adores shes amazing with him.We noticed a potential problem a few months ago. It started out that He will not play unless the nanny or my husband or myself was in the same room. If we went into kitchen to put a dish in sink he would be right behind us.. our livingroom and kitchen is connected and all open
So we can see him if we are cooking. If we are cooking he will have to bring his toys in kitchen area and play right by where we are standing. If we bring him and the toys back in livingroom he just stands there with toys in his hand and stares into space. I feel like he doesnt know how to play with stuff unless we are there. We then put him in a few different classes a few times a week( nanny takes him and stayed with him) thinking that will help him that he needs to start being around other kids.He only socializes with other kids when hes sitting on our laps. He has the time of his life playing and watching other kids on our laps the second we take him off our laps he freaks out. Even if we sit him right beside us he cries. This happens with kids he even knows. I dont know what to do. I have not spoke to my dr yet. Would maybe getting him into a soft seaperation class help?

That just another stage he's in. He will grow out of it. Nothing to worried about. All kid go through that. But at they get older, they change.
