I have a 2 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. Both my kids take to a pacifire or what i may call a cho. My husband and i decided to take my daughter off her pacifire when we noticed she was chewing them up. It's been a week since we took it from her. some days are better then others. She only asks for it when it's nap time or bed time. she was doing good for the last 4 days. Last night when i went to check on them before i went to bed she had taken her brothers pacifire out his mouth. How can i get my child to just let her pacifire go?

get rid of both of them..a 1 yr old doesn't require an explination for why his cho is gone..just do it cold turkey and let the chips fall as they may

It will be hard for the first 2 or 3 days ..but will get better

yes I would just take it from both of them. I took my daughter's away a week before turning one years old and she cried for a few nights but then forgot about it. with the 1 year old... just take it and eventually he will forget about it too... out of sight...out of mind. If you make sure they are all out of the house and say no turning back they will both get it!! Good Luck!!

Let her go to bed with one of her favorite toys. Hopefully that will help her adjust a little better. That is all I can think of.

lol i only have been around 2 kids (my own) who takes the cho. so im just lost and clueless on how weaning works. the bottle was a whole lot easer then the cho. but thanks imma just through them away and hopes tht works.

If you haven't already... start limiting it to just nap/bedtime.

I really don't know other than that. I've only weaned 2 kids off of the pacifier and they were both 3 weeks from turning 2 (twins) when we just took them away for good.
