Okay... so our granddaughter has been sleeping great until about a month ago... she turned 4 this past February. She's in school and takes a nap... comes home, plays and very active. She used to go to bed at 8:50 and was out like a log by 9 pm... thus giving us an hour or so to unwind too. Now... it's like pulling teeth for her to go to bed. Same routine we've always used but now she has started settling issues, cries, wants Nana to sleep with her. I'm sure this is very normal but I don't remember this at all from many years ago. This Nana and Papa need some fresh ideas!!! We're going out this weekend to let her pick out a new bedding ensemble too.

BTW... she's up at 6:30 am bright eyed and bushy tailed... no issues at school or home.

Thanks Anita. She has a 90-min nap at school. LOL... she definitely is not wanting to miss anything that's for sure. We did buy her big girl bedding this weekend which she picked out which has helped too. We're back to 9:30 and we'll back the time up by 15-min intervals during the week and get her back on track. Ahhhh... she's the light of my life! Great website too!

Okay so this is a rough question but lets see if I can help a little. First off I am not sure how long nap time is in school if they are putting her down for a nap at noon and letting her sleep until 230 that is too long she needs to go down for a nap at noon and sleep for an hour and half so maybe that is the issue. However, now that she is older she could be just willing to sleep longer anymore because she is four now and that is about the age where a child thinks they are going to miss out on something if they are not up. I would maybe talk with the school and see what time is nap how long is nap and how long does she sleep. I hope this helps you out.
