Definitely take him to the pediatrician they're the ones who can help you.

I think you should get his hearing and his eyes checked by a physician. It is better to know if your son has a physical problem as those can be corrected and you won't be in mystery any more. After you have established that nothing is wrong with him physically, then getting help with parenting advice should go a long way. I know of a new website that has free parenting tips. There's also a ebook short story you can get on a 3 year old girl who didn't talk at all. She grunted and didn't speak a single word. It was a fascinating story. The book and parenting tips can be found at

I would also suggest you get his hearing tested. Rule that out. If he has older siblings sometimes they don't talk because they have others talk for them. This is even more so with twins, they allow the more aggressive twin to speak for them.

The covering of the ears makes me think he has an ear infection and they hurt. My oldest had constant ear infections and his speech was slightly delayed. He had speech therapy at 15 months, after we rules out hearing loss at 13 months.

Either way talk to your doctor about your concerns. They will be able to direct you in the best direction.

See the doctor... Or a new one. If he is two and isn't speaking, that is an issue that should of been addressed sooner. You first need to get a new pediatrician. Don't freak out because you are only going to scare him. Stay strong and deal with each issue as it comes along... Remember kids feed off emotions. Some kids are quite... No form of Autism is good.. but some are better than others. Research .. My daughter has hyper acute hearing.... Her ears are overly sensitive.. It is now categorized as a form of Autism. Other than that... She is extremely intelligent. She is two years old and is reading... My step son didnt say full sentences until he was four.... My point is that all children are different you just have to hang in there and find positive things and work on him with things he excels at. The rest will come with time. Good luck and keep us updated.

depending on where you live you can get speech therapy done way before school starts. Also you might want to find someone to help work with sensory play. Or really look it up online and you'll find TONS of activities.

As far as no dairy or GFCF diet, those are only theories about what might cause it. Look into it yourself and be informed as much as you can. You are your sons greatest advocate.

There is also an autism board on here. Go ahead and join it and get help from other mothers who can help more.(go to communities- top left, click join communities, then search autism) I have a son who is a very low spectrum autistic.. Which was low enough it didn't go really detected for 12 years. I noticed quirks but no one took me serious.

Get his hearing tested. Go and see your doctor. We can't diagnose anything over the internet.
Also just a heads up, don't type in all capitals as it looks like you are shouting.
