Please help! My son is 3 and keeps biting other children at his in-home day care.

He doesn't do this anywhere else. He also has become very mean in nature, saying things that aren't nice and being very sassy with my husband and I and at daycare. We have talked to him about it, taken away everything of importance to him, sent him to timeout and his room. I feel like we have done everything under the sun and I am loss as where to go from here! My husband and I just don't know what to do. He tells us every day when we drop him off that he promises to be good and when we pick him up we get the negative report. Any suggestions?

I am an Early childhood Educator (well working on getting there) and we just had a long talk about biting in class a few nights ago. We came to the conclusion that because a child can not speak and tell you what they want and/ or need they use biting. I am wondering if you could try using signing with your child and get him to tell you in words what is going on.
Hope this helps
