our 3 and a half year old has been potty trained for over a year now but we had the same problem to begin with, he would go for a pee no problem but a pongy was a different matter. We kept on with the nappy and told him he would be in big trouble if he wet the nappy, after many times of punishment ( telling off and ridicule) he realised and asked for the potty for a pee all the time and we just kept the process up until he went for a pongy aswell. Beware if you take them out for the day strange toilets will not work aswell, autoflushing toilet will step you back months, but lots of praise and the promise of a cuddly toy will work. When I started taking my little one for days out he would not pee in the toilet and was very frightened of the hand dryers, with my encourangement and the help of strangers ( don't be affraid of letting others know what scares your little one) praise and reward really works, now he pees and will wash his hands out there. So stick with it. Hope it helps

did you try filling her up with lots of fibrous foods? that may get her digestive system going and she may have to go. when you see the signs that she has to go then place her on the toilet and distract her with a book or sing songs to her while she's sitting on the potty. if you're using a regular toilet you can try putting something under her feet as support/comfort....that may help. or perhaps for starters you could let her sit on the toilet in her diaper while she makes the poo. after a few days of doing that maybe you should try cutting a hole in the diaper and go from there. this is just a suggestion...i didn't try it with my 3 year old (who was about 20 months at the time) because he was okay with making poo in the potty. good luck to you and your daughter!

My youngest who is four just fully trained himself in a matter of weeks ,mind u we had been using training pants instead of diapers for over a year. Is she watching anyone when they go to the washroom like u or another adult women? We let our children see us go so they would know what we were doing in the washroom for them to learn.
