Hi ladies my son has just turned two and I am trying to potty train him, he seems a little apprehensive about it just wanted to know how other mums are or have gone about training their little one ;)

Just follow his lead. Right now just focus on introduction. You want to teach but not force. So follow his lead. Some kids jump right in and take off right away and others need time. I use a little potty and just have it sitting in the bathroom. At first it is just allowing them to feel comfortable.....so if they want to sit with clothes on that is fine. If they want to sit while I go that is fine too. My youngest started by sitting with clothes on and then went to sitting with clothes on and then wiping (with clothes on)....she was learning and starting to feel more comfortable with it. As time went on then she sat with clothes off and would sometimes go and sometimes not. They will show/tell you what they are ready for and when. Just like walking and talking....it happens over time. You start with the basics first and build on those. Each child is going to move at their own pass. Some need more encouragement then others, but all get it with time.
