What are some signs to know if 18 month old boy is ready to start. And how to jump start it. He says pee pee and poopoo while I'm already changing him...mm thanks. :-)

You can't really jump start potty training. A child is ready to train when they are ready. He is doing great with recognizing pee pee and poopoo. That is a great start. Allow him to go into the bathroom when you or dad goes. This teaches a ton also. Set a little potty out in the bathroom for him. Allow him to just experiment with it. He may want to just sit with clothes on or he may want to sit with clothes off or a little of both when you are going to the bathroom as well. This is him learning how it all works. As he gets more interest in sitting on the potty and doing it more regularly when you are in there then have him sit right before bath time. If he goes great.....if not no biggie. From there you just follow his lead encouraging him but not pushing him.
