Potty Training my 3 year old

I have a 3 year old son who isn't potty trained. He's at daycare all day and will use the toilet there. After he eats, he immediately goes to use the toilet. He does it all by himself without being told. However, he refuses to use the potty at home. The doctor has said not to force the issue - says it sounds like he has some anxiety about it. But there's gotta be something we can do to help him go at home. Any advice?

I would try keeping the same kind of schedule/routine that daycare has. When something just becomes routine it makes it easier to just do. Try setting up a rewards system. So at first maybe it is just an m&m if he goes and sits on the potty, 2 m&m's for pee and 3 for poop. Try to make the reward an immediate reward this will encourage the behavior you are wishing to get. As the routine starts to get set and he is more willing to sit on the potty then take out the reward for the potty and just do the rewards for the pee and poop. As those start to become good then take out those(if one comes easier then the other then keep the reward for the one you are wanting to encourage).
