I feel as if I have tried everything to get my daughter potty trained and nothing seems to be working and I am just about at my whits end. She needs to be fully potty trained by the time pre-k starts in the fall or she won't be able to go. It feels like she is in control of this situation and she just refuses to use the potty unless she feels like it. And she will not poop in the potty. It doesn't matter if she is in panties or pull ups. She goes in them both. One of them makes more of a mess then the other but she doesn't mind being messy. She will
sit in it and play in it. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

AT four it's getting to be an issue, I know. Shes old enough that rewards really mean somthing to her. I would never discipline but always reward. Other than that, I don't know. If he doen't ind being messy, that's usually what gets most kids started. Good luck, I know she will do it eventually. It's just frustrating.

I am also training my boy! i am just starting, so i put a potty chair available for him, and started playing games witht the potty, and also started reading him stories about the potty...by the way, i found a great app called potty training learning with the animals....my son loved it and help him a lot!

My daughter is just over 3 and we are struggling with the same thing. She will go pee on the potty if I set a timer and have her try every time the timer goes off. Occasionally she will tell me she needs to pee. But when it comes to poo. Omg I'm so at my wits end!!! She's been withholding for 10 months and we have tried everything. She's not backed up or compacted at all. She went poo on the potty a week ago. But since then has had 10+ poo accidents (minor to major streaks) her poo is not solid and is always very messy. She will be on the potty to poo. Not do anything then seriously not even 3 mins later in a pull up (for nap) and start to poo in that!! Extra fiber and natural supplements haven't really helped. I just have no clue. I wish I could help you. Bit maybe together we can help each other.

My daughter is almost 3. Still potty training her. I offer my daughter small rewards for going on the big girl potty. It seems to be helping as far as motivation but we are still working on it.

Hope this is something you haven't tried already & helps.
