Hello everyone! I'm in the process of potty training my nearly 3 year old son but am having difficulties. He does his business on the potty without me even asking when he has nothing on his bottom half but when he's wearing pants or clothes he just wets himself and I dont know how to break this habit?? Help..

As soon as my daughter turned 2yr i bought a book about a little girl who uses her potty from Amazon, which comes with a reward chart and stickers. At first i read the book to my daughter then every time she sat on the potty she would get a sticker, then i started reading the book to her while she was on the potty and she would wee in the potty and ask for a sticker. Within two weeks she was potty trained and loved peeing in her potty and telling me she had done so and asking for a sticker and putting a sticker on her reward chart. In the early stages of her potty training i would have a potty where ever we were in the house and without underwear on, when she got the hang of just sitting on the potty when she needed to go, i introduced big girl knickers with her favourite character on them. Good luck

Bribe him with M&M's and prizes from a grap bag. If he does his business he gets a treat. Take him to pick out his own undies. My daughter is almost 4 now and she does not pee in the bed and is completely potty trained,

I have potty trained 3 kids and have done them all the same way. At three your child is old enough to use a toilet with a seat. I would suggest you keep him dressed at all times and take him to the toilet every half an hour for a wee.If he wees then wait an hour and start again. If he wets then leave him wet for 10 minutes so that he knows that wet is not nice then change him. For boys you can buy toilet balls that float and they pee at. It is fun to do and teaches them to aim properly. Make toilet time fun and you will have much more luck.

He is associating his underwear with a diaper. What you are doing is called "Naked Potty Training." It takes about 3 months for them to stop wetting their pants. They suggest no undies.
