My son is 3 hes not potty trained yet, hes very smart but i read online that my son should know his colors and numbers and shapes and should be in preschool.. now im worried because i thought i still had time before he had to learn all that and be put in school. I feel horrible, is he supposed to be in preschool??

I don't believe that's necessary. I think that pressure is produced in order to justify putting a child in preschool. But it's my opinion that time spent with a parent is most important in the formative years. I also wouldn't put pressure on yourself to have to teach him all the things you listed. However, it wouldn't hurt to start introducing them just so he becomes familiar. I would start with colors then shapes. What kinds of things does he enjoy doing now?
