Should I be worried??

My son is so picky sometimes. There are some days that I can't get him to eat more than grapes or cereal or nuti gran bars but it is a single thing. There are sometimes that this will go on for days before he will eat anything real. Is this something that I should be worried about? How can I be sure that he is getting the nutrition that he needs??

I wouldn't worry. My son is a huge grazer and some days he eats "snacks" vs. meals all day long. I found that the easiest way to get him to eat better is to sit and play with him on the floor (board game or read a book) and make a healthy snack for both of us to have (he loves hummas and chips or carrots). The other thing I did was I bought him a plate with different compartments in it. I fill each compartment up with different foods at meal time and then we eat in a circle. We start at one compartment and work our way around. I told him to try everything the first circle and see if he likes it. Then, when he goes around again he can take a pass on the compartments he doesn't like. He thinks its fun. The other thing is, I take him shopping with me and I let him pick out his own foods as long as they are healthy. You can go to the store and buy cookie cutters and use those to cut out fun watermelon shapes or little sandwiches...

Good luck!
