I can't take anymore. My son is crappy crappy sleeper, he 22months old and although he has improved its still bad. I've been up since 330am he won't sleep I have to work today.it's 530am. I'm so angry now don't think I could sleep even if he would. I've been through months of approx 4 hrs a night broken sleep. I finally gave in and did control crying, he has definitely improved. but no way near perfect. he been sick with cold for weeks now so I've been co sleeping. I just can't take the sleep deprivation anymore I'm going crazy.
don't know what to do when he wakes, can't take hrs of crying

Thanks Alesha,
Yes ive been strict on routine from 3months, never made any difference with him. Ye bedtime routine he loves it and cant wait to bath storey sleep bag bed! He always self settles at beginning of night in his own room. so i give him every chance to sleep through. Thankfully he has come out of his sickness and is almost better. I am now back to sleep training and when he wake i go on make sure he ok give him reassurance and tell him its still sleep time and leave, and belive it or not he self settle no crying! Yay, still broken sleep but its night three tonight so i hope we get a better night. I know things will never be perfect with his sleeping but as long as i get a few more zzz. i wont go crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can only imagine how frustrated you are. Its never easy to sleep train when the child is sick but I will say that most of my friends who have started co-sleeping while a child was sick didn't get them out of their bed for another year.

Do you have a bedtime routine? Do you have a nap routine? Both tremendously impacted making sure our son was sleeping in his own bed by 8pm every night. Bath, story then bed. It wasn't easy getting there, but god is it worth it! Stay strong.
