I switch rooms since my daughter is comfortable sleeping in my room and I also let her keep my pillow so when she goes to sleep she'll have my scent on her pillow. She's been sleeping on her own for about 3wks now.

I'm not sure how you will take my advice, but here it is. We went thru the same problem with our son. I got to the point that I couldn't take it anymore. I work full-time and was tired of going to work tired. One Friday nite I decided that regardless of how much he fussed and cried I was not bringing him in our room. First I started lowering the lights about a hr before his bedtime. We did our routine that we have always done. Next I put him in his bed, kissed him godd night and left out of his room. he cried for a while but eventually went to sleep. it was hard listening to him cry but you soon get over it because you know that he's not hurt and it will pay off in the long run. Each nite I did the exact smae thing and I noticed that he wasn't crying as long. By Monday nite he was only crying for about five minutes. Some people say that you should go in and reassure the child that you are still around and that he will be ok but in our situation it just made it worse. I love my son and now everyone in our house can get a good nite's sleep.
