I'm not sure if my son is coming down with something or developing allergies but he's been sneezing and coughing A LOT. Does anyone else has kids with allergies? I don't want to give him any medicine until I find out what's bothering him.

You can tell if it's allergies because his nose will run clear, not yellow. Also, watery eyes and sneezing are symptoms of allergies. Allergies can also cause dark circles around the eyes.
My 2 year old is suffering from allergies right now. We have been outside so much the past week, the leaves are falling and things are drying up and the wind is blowing everything around. I had fall allergies when I was a kid, and I guess she does too. I started hearing her cough and sneeze last night while she was in bed.
I gave her some warm decaf tea with honey today and used the Nose Frida to get her breathing. Also, she sat in the bathroom while I took a steamy shower (that was nice for me, too) I kept her inside today, instead of going out to play, too. I hate to do it, but I'd like to give her a day or two to recuperate before bombarding her again.
I spoke to the nurse about it and she said to give acetaminophen or motrin to keep her comfortable. Also, if it doesn't clear up in a few days, or starts to turn to yellow mucus, call and bring her into the doctor's office. They could give her some benadryl.
Good luck

I've had allergies my entire life im 26.. im allergic to all animals (mostly male, b/c of the sent glans) rag weed, hay, dust and even dirt. My parents tried helping me any way possible...I rode horses and changed my clothes on the garage to avoid bringing in anything to the house, slept with a plastic cover over my pillow. Ate a spoon full of local honey once a day, and even tried all over the counter medicines out there. I was even told anything natural from a farm would help me outgrow it. (milk straight from the cow) but I was an active kid and just dealt with it and took an off brand medicine when I felt like it. and Ive had every animal possible too
