Story time troubles

My daughter always loved story time up until recently. She used to beg me to read three or four stories. Her grandma got her a Nabi last Christmas and since we moved to a new state, she's enjoyed it more. Now when it's time to go to sleep, I'll try reading her a story and she doesn't want me to. She tells me that her nabi can read bed time stories. It hurts me a little bit, but she really enjoys the interactive stories to fall asleep to. I feel like this isn't a good trend and it hasn't been going on long but she's just not interested anymore. She gets very upset, and I'm not sure what to do about it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Interactive stories are actually great. It is the next level of learning how to read. She learn how to storytell and how to interact with the story. As she grows she will change from you reading to her "reading" the story by talking about what is going on on the picture. This is how kids learn to read. Interactive storytelling also in gages the imagination which helps with writing. She will go back to wanting you to read some when the Nabi is not so new.
