Hello.
I have a 31/2 year old son and he is having some behavioral problems at school. I have noticed that he is extremely active and never like to stay focused and always wants to do his own thing. he has recently start hitting other children and being very aggressive. Please help I need some tips on how to get my loving child under control.

Obviously, 3 1/2 is pretty young still so likely his behavior will improve soon. He's probably just used to doing whatever he wants like he does at home (within reason).

When my daughter was 3 she rarely sat on her dot during circle time and when she would bothered other children. The nursery school is a bit hippy dippy (basically a farm) and focuses on creativity so there isn't a huge amount of authority. But I did become a little concerned when the teachers brought it up.

So what worked for us was enrolling her into a local Karate class. Not only does it allow more energy to be released, but the respect the Sensei demands from the students taught her about authority and respect. So when she wrapped the belt around her waist she stood at attention and followed the commands without bothering the others. This carried over into the classroom when the teachers asked her to follow instructions, etc.

Everyones different and 3 1/2 is so young really for any structure but we do want to do everything we can. Again, this worked for us but might not be for everyone.
