Toddler falling ill at least twice a month after starting childcare

I have a 16 month old son who started childcare at the age of 12 months. He has been falling ill twice every month since starting childcare. Its either cold and cough that leads to bronchulitis, he then had pink eye, hand foot and mouth (twice) and now tonsilitis due to sever cold. I work 3 days a week and usually I go to work for one week and the next week i stay home to care for my ill son. I am at my wits end. We have even got his blood tests done and they have come back without any issue.
Any mothers out there who experienced this when their babies started childcare? what did you do? Any mums who have been through this phase any tips on how to cope? I am getting depressed seeing him ill every 2 weeks and am even considering leaving my job.
One thing is clear is that he has a weak immune system. any tips on how to boost it?

I saw the same with my son when he started daycare a few weeks ago. This is apparently quite common. Being at home, the kids face limited exposure to germs, whereas they get MUCH more exposure at daycare. That being said, his immune system is likely to get stronger in time as his boy learns to fight these germs, but I agree that it is a good idea to look into getting a multi-vitamin, putting a humidifier in his room, healthy (lots of vitamin C) diet, etc. Good luck!

The main reason for weak immune system is poor diet. Try adding a multi-vitamin into his diet to help. Zinc is really good for boosting an immune system.

It might not just be all his fault for being sick. I have seen some daycares that don't properly sanitize. If a nid with a snotty nose plays with a toy and it is only wiped and not sanitized, your son may get sick. Have you asked the child care center about how well they clean? Do you know if many kids are getting sick there? Ask other parents if need be.

Sometimes the best option is to choose another child care center.

here is a list of questions to ask and things to look for.
