What are some activities for a 22-month-old and 16-month-old to do together?

I'm starting a home-based daycare so that I can stay home with my 16-month-old daughter and the first child I'm carrying for is 22-months-old. In February, I might also be taking on a 17-month-old.

I'm starting in two weeks and I'm wondering what some age-appropriate activities are that they can do together. We live in an apartment so "backyard" activities that involve too much stuff is a bit of an issue (we have a fenced-in grassy common area, but aren't allowed to leave toys down there.) Although I do have a little tikes slide climber in my living room!

With my daughter (16-month-old) I usually take her to the playground or on a walk every day before nap, and then again take her for an outdoor outing every day before dinner. There is a playground a block away from our house, and our apartment also has a pool that is available year-round (we live in Hawaii). I also take her to the beach at least once a week.

But I usually don't know if she's "outgrown" a toy until she's actually out-grown is, so are there any parents of chlidren slightly older than my daughter (in the 2 year old and almost 2 year old range) that can tell me what they're capable of and enjoy doing?
