What happens after paternity??

The father of my 3yr old has contacted me for the first time, the state of NV has contacted him because she is on state ins, and that is there policy. So now he wants a dna test, which is fine, he says i never told him, and all this and that which is a lie. I am curious as to what happens after the dna test comes back proving what i told him 3 years ago.. He lives in TX, and she is 3, what are the chances of him getting visitation..??

After paternity comes custody then child support. He may get visitation but I think he would have to move closer to you. I dont think you would have to move closer to him. He will also owe you back 3 years of support for not being there for her and to provide for her. GOODLUCK the whole court thing is a long process!

That's tricky, but I think if he is the father and he wants to be in the childs life then he probably will be granted visitation.
It might be good for the child to know her dad.
It wouldn't be abandonment because he could always just claim he didn't know and that would be tricky to prove that you told him.
Good Luck!!
