What kind of meat is it safe to feed a 1 year old?

I just started feeding my son (approx 1 year old) less baby foods and more cut up fruits and veggies. We also started whole milk, and I've given him some macaroni and cheese. I'm really not sure what is healthy to feed him and I want to make sure that he is getting an adequate amount of food. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

For meat specifically, the only one I have found to cause an issue is beef. It tends to be tougher and more difficult to chew. Chicken and poultry is generally a favorite with my kids. But Amy is right. As long as it's bite sized, you can feed your 1yr old just about anything you would eat.

Just try to get the recommended servings in throughout the day but don't worry if some days he doesn't get it all. At a year old he can eat whatever you are eating, just make sure it's bite size. I found cooking meat in the crockpot made it easier for my kids to chew but I didn't use a crockpot every night. My daughter is a grazer she eats lots of little things throughout the day, so sometimes I put out veggies for her to snack on sometimes it's fruit. At a year old you'll just want to make sure you are keeping a very close eye on him. Personally I just followed my kids lead if they were hungry they let me know, I never forced them to eat.
