I have a 2 1/2yr old son who recently started unbuckling his seatbelt. I have him in the same carseat we use for my daughter, who is almost 4. We have him in the one's that you just use a normal seatbelt to buckle them in. Any suggestions on how to have him stop unbuckling himself while I'm driving or is there any type of product out there to cover the seatbelt clip, I havent found anything yet..Please Help!!! Thanks

The other ladies are right, he should still be in a 5 point harness. Where I live it's law to have them in a 5 point harness till they are at least 4 years and then in a booster seat till 7 years. It's for the safety of your children, not just annoy us and get more mney.

I agree at 2 years old he needs to be in a 5 point harness. I don't think we switched my son to a booster seat till he was at least 4 and a 1/2.

He needs to be in a 5 point restraint. He's only 2. That's my opinion on the matter. What you're doing is kind of dangerous.

The only reason I put him in the booster seat was because he did meet the weight and height requirements. He always would complain that the harness would hurt in between his legs...I didn't realize their we're different size harness car seats. I completely agree about safety but assumed this booster was ok to use since he met the requirements for it. I'm going to purchase a new seat today... Thanks ladies for your help!!!

I would not have my 2.5 year old in a booster. My son was almost 5 before he was taken out of the 5point harness and that was because it started pinching the boys or he would have stayed. My 26 month old is still in her 5point harness and will stay there till she is at the height and or weight limit.

I would get a 5 point harness car seat instead of a booster seat. I know it is another expense, I am on a tight budget myself and I'm very frugal, but when it comes to the safety of my children, some things should be purchased without question. A 5 point harness car seat can be purchased for around 50 bucks and will last you until your child is around 65 pounds- you WILL get your money's worth!

I just want to verify you still have your daughter in a car seat too, right?
