When Is My Son Too Old For a Nightime/Morning Bottle?

My 21 month old son still uses a bottle at night when we cuddle before he goes to bed and has another one when he wakes up in the morning. The rest of the day he uses either a sippy cup or big boy cup depending on the situation. I know I should be taking him off soon, but it is hard to stop that last "cuddle" bottle and the morning one. Am I doing more harm than good with this? What can I do to make an easier transition?

Instead of cuddling with the bottle cuddle with some books. Just because you end with the bottle does not mean cuddle time needs to end. He should be off the bottle completely and reading books is a great way to start introducing reading to him as well as other learning (colors, shapes, numbers, letters).

Instead of giving him a bottle in the morning, give him a sippy with milk in it. Start with the morning then go to the night, and see if that helps. I do agree on book cuddling. Good luck.
