My daughter is 23 months. She's quite happy in her crib but I'm pregnant and due in August. It may seem horrible but I want to use her crib for the baby that's on the way. When should I move her and any tips on how to do it?

I had the same thing going on, my kids are only 18m apart. My son had to go from crib to toddler bed. I made it a "privilege" of being an older sibling, that he was a big boy and that the baby needed the crib. I also had him pick out new sheets and a blanket for it so he was involved and got to kind of get a present. He did get out of bed a lot at first, but I think that's all toddlers when they have the new freedom. He stopped getting out after a week. Hope this helps :)

I am in the same boat! I'm 30 weeks pregnant with a 17 month old son. We have already begun making my son his "big boy" room because we are going to put the baby in his room which will now be referred to as the baby room. We will start by letting him play in his new room and take naps in his "big boy" bed so hopefully the transition won't be too big of a deal for him. We are just playing up the big boy aspect of it all! Luckily they sell toddler rails which I bought a couple of so that I won't worry about him falling out. Not too sure how to make him stay in bed though. I'm sure that will be the real kicker! Best of luck!!!
