Will adult gel work with a 2 year old?

I need some information on what to do with my daughter’s hair. She’s 2 ½. I want to put the same gel I use in my hair in hers, her hair gets really fuzzy, and she has major loose pieces that stick up everywhere. I need to tame it! LOL! I’m bi-racial, my daughter is black, this is important because there’s no denying that black people have unique hair. I’m not trying to be weird or anything. So please don’t ding me on this, I’m just trying to find products for her hair.

I tried Kid’s organics, it’s like an African Pride type product but it broke her out… :(
It used to be easier to manage when she was younger but now it’s gotten more coarse and hard to deal with. It’s SUPER thick too.

It doesn’t help that I really hate dealing with hair. I have hair down my back and it’s really thick, it’s up in a top knot most of the time. I really hate doing hair and I’m trying to find a way to get it tamed without having to pay someone.

Karma’s a B. My mom had to deal with mine, I’m getting my pay back.

So will adult gel damage it? I use pro-style, it’s another product for black people. I really don’t wanna keep her hair braided all the time like most people do with little girls her age. She wears afro puffs most of the time, sometimes I braid it, but her hair is really soft and the braids get fuzzy and look old really fast, then I have to re-do them. It’s more of a headache than a convenience.

Then she sits there and pulls all of the barrettes out of the braids and then her hair comes out with it. Ugh.

Hey Brandy,

Thanks for responding. I went ahead and just starting using a little bit yesterday. We'll see.

I just looked it up and it says its okay and will not harm your child...unless your child touches her hair and then puts her hand in her mouth or rubs her eyes...hope this helps we were told to just use baby oil on our boys hair
