No. Vitamins aren't going to increase his appetite. Make the food he does eat as nutritious and high calorie as you can. Don't let him fill up on juice and empty carbohydrates. Try to notice patterns in how he eats. Little kids often eat the most at breakfast and have very little interest in supper. Maybe he eats more alone or if you share food. Sometimes snacks are a way to get kids to eat more, sometimes snack cause kids to eat less. Most of all though, don't become so focused on getting him to gain weight that you create bad habits or control issues around food. You'll might win the battle, but you'll lose the war.

I would make sure that I'm offering him nutritious, high calorie food... nothing reduced fat. I would also avoid juice and refined carbs since some kids will get a quick spike in blood sugar and decide not to eat anything else because they feel temporarily satisfied. But honestly, if both parents are small and he's healthy I wouldn't worry too much. Our fourth wore out size 12 month clothing because he was in it for so long. When he was 15 months I had buy new 12 month sleepers. He was still in size 18 months when he was two and a half years old. But none of our kids are big, I'm very thin with small bones, and DH was very thin when he was young.
