Quoting Juanita:

if you ever need a really high fat yogurt, greek style or mediterranean yogurt is fabulous. my son was eating like a fiend and not gaining weight, so i went to whole foods and found some yogurt with 8% milkfat. ridiculously creamy, but he loved the stuff. my son never took to yobaby. he liked trader joe's, after we were done with the expensive, high fat yogurt. they come in little 4 zo cups, which is still probably the best size for him.

Where do you find Greek yogurt?  I have been looking for it for about a year now because of a recipe I saw on Rachael Ray lol  None of my local grocers have it, neither does Wal Mart of the health food store.  Just curious.

My son has been getting yogurt since he was about 8 months old. The nutritionist recommended it. I always bought the YoBaby because it came in individual servings and was all natural. He would eat about half of one serving cup. Whatever brand you buy, just avoid anything with aspertame. All natural is the best way to go.

Yogurt can be introduced between 7-9 months.. Hailey has been eating yogurt since 7 months old and just a few minutes ago she polished off a tub of yogurt. (she is 23 months old).

My son LOVES yogurt. He started before he was 1 with just plain vanilla yogurt. He even chooses yogurt over other treats for dessert after dinner. It also got him interested in trying other fruit by itself after liking it in his yogurt. Most doctors will encourage it by 12 months to help aid in digestion.

My son was eating yogurt well before he was a year old with no problems. Your 13 month old should be fine.

absolutely! high fat, fruit juce sweetened(if flavored), organic if you like. If she has a history of digestive issues, try goat yogurt first. Not as tasty but easy to digest. You can stir in some apple sauce or mushed banana, i use to mix mushed avocado with plain yogurt for lunch.
