My daughter will be 4 in November. In April of 2010 I had an ectopic pregnancy where they had to do emergancy surgery to remove my last tube. In August of 2010 I got pregant again, another ectopic. This time they were able to treat it with a drug called Methatrexate, which desolves the pregnacy. I went to a fertility s[ecialist the begining of this year to find out what was wrong with me that keeps causing this and everything is fine. They cant get me a reason and it bothers me. I received a phone call the other week from our local WIC office seeing how the delivery went and get all the details of the baby. Well needless to say I was an emotional wreck when I had to tell them I never had the baby. How and when will I get over this and move forward??

I think you have been very unlucky, if you feel emotionally ready to try again then do so. Nothing is 100% in this world with pregnancies. I had three missed miscarriages and could not believe that it kept happening to me after two normal births. It did take a lot of courage to keep going and try for my fourth pregnancy but I found the courage from somewhere and promised myself that I would have one last try and that was it. Well I now have a 2.5 year old daughter to complete my family and I am glad I did not give up. If you can bare the pain to have another go then go for it.

Give it some time before you try to have another one (since it's only been 8 months, wait a few more to try again). You may have an anomaly that causes this sort of pregnancy, or not. You may also want to get a 2nd opinion from a specialist to be on the safe side (high risk OB/GYN). Get an ultrasound from another DR to see if they see anything funky. Good luck!
